Pakistan Day Celebrated with National Zeal at High Commission in Malaysia
Kuala Lumpur: Pakistan Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm at the High Commission of Pakistan in Kuala Lumpur, where a large number of Pakistani community members and Malaysian friends gathered for the flag-hoisting ceremony. High Commissioner Syed Ahsan Raza Shah raised the national flag, while attendees joined in singing the National Anthem. Messages from President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, and Deputy Prime Minister/Foreign Minister Senator Muhammad Ishaq Dar were read out during the event.
In his address, the High Commissioner paid tribute to the sacrifices of Pakistan’s forefathers in the struggle for independence and honored the vision of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah. He emphasized that Pakistan Day serves as a reminder to strengthen national unity and patriotism. The occasion also provided an opportunity to reflect on the country’s achievements and reaffirm commitment to its progress and prosperity.
The High Commissioner highlighted the deep-rooted and historic ties between Pakistan and Malaysia, underscoring shared heritage and cultural connections. Expressing confidence in the future of bilateral relations, he stated that cooperation between the two nations would continue to grow. He also reiterated Pakistan’s unwavering support for the people of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK), acknowledging their ongoing struggle against oppression and human rights violations.
