Pakistan Pavilion Draws Global Attention at Travel & Adventure Show in New York
New York: The two-day Travel & Adventure Show 2025 kicked off in New York on Sunday, showcasing tourism attractions from around the globe. Pakistan Tourism Development Corporation (PTDC) and the Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP), in collaboration with the Consulate General of Pakistan in New York, established a dedicated Pakistan Tourism Pavilion. The pavilion featured 13 Pakistani companies, all provincial tourism departments, and PTDC booths, according to a press release.
The Pakistan Pavilion, operating under the national tourism brand “Salam Pakistan,” was inaugurated by Pakistan’s Ambassador to the United States, Rizwan Saeed Sheikh, and the Chief Minister of Gilgit-Baltistan, Gulbar Khan. Key dignitaries, including Ghulam Muhammad, the Minister for Tourism and Law of Gilgit-Baltistan, and Raja Nasir Ali Khan, the Minister for Planning & Development of Gilgit-Baltistan, attended the ceremony. The Consul General of Pakistan in New York, Aamer Ahmed Atozai, and Trade & Investment Counsellor Adnan Mahmood Awan were also present.
The Pakistan Pavilion received the prestigious award for Best Partner Pavilion at the event, a testament to its success in showcasing Pakistan’s breathtaking tourist destinations, vibrant cultural heritage, and extensive tourism services. Visitors showed significant interest in Pakistan’s mountaineering, adventure tourism, and religious tourism opportunities. On the first day, the pavilion attracted a large number of attendees, further solidifying its presence on the global stage.
Aftab Rana, Managing Director of PTDC, lauded the collaborative efforts of all exhibitors under PTDC’s joint tourism marketing program. He emphasized the importance of utilizing global platforms like the Travel & Adventure Show to highlight Pakistan’s rich tourism potential. As one of the world’s most influential tourism exhibitions, the event provided Pakistan an unparalleled opportunity to connect with international audiences and showcase its unique offerings.
