Pakistan, Russia Vow to Expand Cooperation in Culture and Heritage

Russian Cultural Attaché, Pakistan Official Visits Ministry of Culture and Heritage 

Islamabad: Pakistan and Russia on Friday reaffirmed their resolve to deepen cultural ties as Educational and Cultural Attaché of the Russian Embassy, Ms. Alina Kolesnikova, called on Syed Usman Tahir, honorary advisor to the Federal Minister for National Heritage and Culture Division, at the ministry.

The meeting focused on exploring new avenues of cooperation in heritage, culture, and performing arts, building on the centuries-old civilizational links between the two nations. Both sides emphasized the importance of cultural exchange programmes and joint projects to foster mutual respect and people-to-people connectivity.

Syed Usman Tahir assured Pakistan’s readiness to facilitate cultural events and exhibitions showcasing Russia’s artistic and intellectual traditions. He stressed that intercultural dialogue was central to strengthening bilateral relations.

Ms. Kolesnikova appreciated Pakistan’s rich and diverse cultural landscape and expressed Russia’s interest in expanding collaboration, particularly in heritage and performing arts. She said the recent visit of Pakistan’s Culture Minister to Russia had paved the way for enhanced cooperation in the years ahead.
