Pakistan Strikes Target Taliban Infrastructure, Not Civilians: Ishaq Dar

Islamabad: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar on Sunday expressed deep concerns over recent developments along the Pakistan-Afghanistan border, terming unprovoked firing and raids by the Taliban government as a “serious provocation.”

Speaking on the situation, DPM Dar said Pakistan would take all necessary measures to protect its territory, sovereignty, and people.

He clarified that Pakistan’s defensive strikes target Taliban infrastructure and terrorist elements, including Fitna-e-Khawarij and Fitna-e-Hindustan, operating from Afghan soil. “Our defensive response is not aimed at the peace-loving Afghan civilian population. Unlike Taliban forces, we exercise extreme caution to avoid civilian casualties,” he posted on his X account.

DPM Dar also called on the Taliban government to take concrete action against terrorist groups and individuals seeking to undermine Pak-Afghan relations.
