The cricket team of Pakistan’s Consulate General in Dubai clinched the title in the 9th Diplomatic Cup (Cricket Championship 2025), defeating Bangladesh in a thrilling final. The tournament, which saw participation from diplomatic teams of Afghanistan, Bangladesh, India, Pakistan, South Africa, Sri Lanka, the United Kingdom, and the United States, was held at the Skyline University College’s cricket grounds in Sharjah, UAE. Pakistan remained unbeaten throughout the event, showcasing exceptional skill and teamwork.
In the final match, Pakistan chased down Bangladesh’s target of 113 runs in just 12 overs during the 15-over game. Rahim Ullah Khan, the Deputy Consul General and Head of Chancery, who captained the victorious Pakistani team, attributed their success to the hard work and commitment of the entire squad. He emphasized the importance of sports in enhancing teamwork and building solidarity within the team.
Following the final, Consul General Hussain Muhammad extended his congratulations to the team for their outstanding achievement.
