Islamabad: Pakistan has invited Türkiye to join the inaugural Inter-Parliamentary Speakers Conference (ISC), a new global platform aimed at promoting peace, stability, and security. The two-day forum will be held in Islamabad on November 11–12, 2025, bringing together parliamentary leaders and world figures to shape dialogue on critical global issues.

Advisor to the Chairman Senate, Misbah Khar, personally extended the invitation to the Speaker of the Grand National Assembly of Türkiye during her visit to the Turkish Embassy in Islamabad on Friday.

She briefed Ambassador Dr. Irfan Neziroglu on the objectives of the ISC, highlighting it as a pioneering forum to encourage parliamentary diplomacy and practical solutions to challenges of peace, conflict resolution, and global security.

Misbah Khar also emphasized that Senate Chairman Yousuf Raza Gillani’s unanimous election as the first President of the ISC reflects international recognition of Pakistan’s leadership role in global parliamentary engagement.

Ambassador Neziroglu welcomed the initiative, reaffirming Türkiye’s support for Pakistan and the ISC, and underlined the strength of bilateral ties between the two brotherly nations. In response, Misbah Khar assured him of Pakistan’s commitment to further deepening parliamentary cooperation with Türkiye while advancing the ISC’s mission.
