Islamabad : Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to enhancing its economic and investment cooperation with Saudi Arabia. Speaking to Saudi Deputy Interior Minister Nasser bin Abdul Aziz Al Dawood in Islamabad, the Prime Minister lauded the progress on Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) pertaining to Saudi investments worth $2.8 billion in Pakistan.
Highlighting the longstanding fraternal relations between the two nations, the Prime Minister expressed his gratitude to the Saudi leadership for its unwavering support to Pakistan in various fields. He emphasized the enduring bond between the two countries, rooted in shared history and mutual respect.
During the meeting, Shehbaz Sharif underscored the importance of bolstering defence and security collaboration. He expressed confidence that the visit of the Saudi Deputy Interior Minister would pave the way for deeper cooperation in these critical sectors, further strengthening bilateral ties.
The leaders also exchanged views on the humanitarian crisis in Gaza and broader regional challenges. Prime Minister Sharif praised Saudi Arabia’s leadership for hosting the recent Arab-Islamic Summit and commended Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman’s principled stance on the Palestinian cause.
Concluding the discussion, the Prime Minister reiterated his invitation to Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman to visit Pakistan, assuring him of a warm and hospitable reception by the people of Pakistan.
