Islamabad : Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif met with Tajikistan’s Prime Minister, Qohir Rasulzoda, on the sidelines of the SCO Council of Heads of Government (CHG) Meeting in Islamabad. Both leaders discussed ways to enhance cooperation between their countries.
During the meeting, Prime Minister Sharif appreciated Tajikistan’s active role in the SCO CHG Meeting and recalled his visit to Dushanbe in July, expressing satisfaction over the growing bilateral ties. He emphasized the importance of continued collaboration in trade, investment, energy, and regional connectivity.
Prime Minister Rasulzoda congratulated Pakistan on successfully organizing the SCO CHG Meeting and extended warm wishes from Tajikistan’s President Emomali Rahmon. He expressed his commitment to deepening bilateral relations and thanked Pakistan for facilitating sugar exports to Tajikistan.
Both leaders reaffirmed their dedication to further strengthening cooperation, particularly in areas of mutual interest, benefiting both nations and the region.
