Islamabad : Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif on Tuesday reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to deepening cooperation with the Kyrgyz Republic, emphasizing the importance of expanding collaboration in trade, investment, people-to-people contacts, and regional connectivity. He made these remarks during a bilateral meeting with Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan Akylbek Japarov on the sidelines of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Council of Heads of Government (CHG) Meeting in Islamabad.
The prime minister appreciated Kyrgyzstan’s positive and active participation in the SCO CHG Meeting and acknowledged its support extended to Pakistan as the current SCO Chair. He also recalled the close and brotherly ties between the two nations, expressing satisfaction with the overall positive trajectory of their bilateral relations.
Akylbek Japarov congratulated Prime Minister Shehbaz on the successful organization of the SCO CHG Meeting and commended the excellent arrangements made for the visiting delegations. He thanked Pakistan for the warm hospitality extended to him and his accompanying delegation during their stay in Islamabad.
In response, Japarov reiterated Kyrgyzstan’s strong desire to enhance bilateral cooperation with Pakistan across all areas of mutual interest, expressing confidence that both countries would continue working together for their shared benefit.
