PM Shehbaz Restores Green Channel for Overseas Pakistanis

Islamabad:

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif announced the immediate restoration of the “Green Channel” to facilitate overseas Pakistanis. He assured that his government will leave no stone unturned in resolving issues of the expatriates. He was addressing a ceremony of Overseas Pakistanis Global Foundation in Islamabad.

PM acknowledged the invaluable contributions of overseas Pakistanis, highlighting that their hard work has earned global recognition. He noted that remittances had increased by 30%, thanks to their steadfast dedication.

The Prime Minister also revealed plans to declare prominent expatriates as ambassadors at large, granting them official blue passports to honor their role in strengthening Pakistan’s global presence.

Chairman of the Overseas Pakistanis Global Foundation, Zahir Akhtar, assured the government’s full support for a secure and prosperous Pakistan. The event featured a tribute song to the armed forces, performed by renowned singer Rafaqat Ali, expressing the community’s gratitude for Pakistan’s security forces.
