PM Shehbaz Sharif Arrives in Beijing to Meet Xi Jinping, Attend WWII Anniversary
Beijing: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif on Monday reached Beijing after attending the 25th Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Summit in Tianjin, marking the next leg of his high-profile China visit. The premier arrived by bullet train and was warmly received at the South Railway Station by Ms. Wang Hong, Member of the Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress. Senior cabinet members, including Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, Planning Minister Ahsan Iqbal, and Information Minister Attaullah Tarar, accompanied him on the visit.
During his stay, Prime Minister Shehbaz will participate in the 80th anniversary of the World War Against Fascism and hold meetings with Chinese President Xi Jinping, Premier Li Qiang, and other global leaders. He is also scheduled to address the China-Pakistan Business-to-Business Conference, highlighting trade and investment opportunities between the two countries.
