PM Shehbaz Sharif to Visit China in August for SCO Summit: Sources
Islamabad : The Prime Minister of Pakistan, Shehbaz Sharif, is set to embark on a significant visit to China in mid-August.
According to the sources, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is in continuous contact with the Chinese Foreign Ministry to finalize the details of the visit, which is taking place on the invitation of the Chinese leadership.
The Prime Minister will represent Pakistan at the 25th Meeting of the Council of Heads of State of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO), scheduled to be held in the Chinese city of Tianjin.
He will be accompanied by a high-level delegation and is expected to meet other regional leaders on the sidelines of the summit, the sources added.
Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi is also expected to attend the SCO summit, further raising the significance of the multilateral gathering.
