Tianjin: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif emerged as a key figure at the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Heads of State Council reception in Tianjin, where he was warmly welcomed by Chinese President Xi Jinping and other world leaders. Prime Minister Sharif held informal but significant meetings with Russian President Vladimir Putin, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim, Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko, Tajik President Emomali Rahmon, Turkmenistan’s President Serdar Berdimuhamedow, Kyrgyzstan’s President Sadyr Japarov, Maldives’ President Dr Mohamed Muizzu, and UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres.

The warmth and closeness witnessed during these exchanges highlighted Pakistan’s strong brotherly and friendly relations with these nations. Analysts believe the Prime Minister’s participation in the SCO summit further underscores Islamabad’s commitment to regional cooperation, economic connectivity, and collective responses to global challenges.
