Islamabad: Pakistan Navy Ship (PNS) Saif carried out a Joint Patrol and Passage Exercise with the Royal Navy of Oman Vessel (RNOV) Al-Seeb and Spanish Navy Ship Santa Maria, demonstrating its commitment to regional maritime security. The exercises aimed to foster synergy and mutual understanding between the participating navies, showcasing their ability to undertake joint operations effectively.
The Directorate General Public Relations (Pak Navy) stated that the exercises were conducted as part of the Focused Operation “Karakoram Resolve,” led by Pakistan under the Combined Task Force (CTF-150). The operation included coordinated efforts by RNOV Al-Seeb, PNS Saif, and Pakistan Maritime Security Agency Ship Kashmir. Upon completing “Karakoram Resolve,” PNS Saif conducted a separate exercise with Spanish Navy Ship Santa Maria, enhancing maritime interoperability through rehearsals of various operations.
The Pakistan Navy has consistently demonstrated its resolve to ensure maritime security in the Indian Ocean Region (IOR). By maintaining a permanent presence in vital maritime zones, it continues to contribute to international efforts for safe and secure seas while countering emerging threats.
The Pakistan Navy and the Royal Navy of Oman have a longstanding tradition of collaboration, conducting regular bilateral exercises such as Thamar Al Tayyib. These exercises aim to strengthen mutual cooperation and understanding between the two navies, reinforcing their shared commitment to regional stability.
