President Asif Ali Zardari Confers Military Award on Saudi Naval Chief
Islamabad: President of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, Asif Ali Zardari, conferred the prestigious Nishan-e-Imtiaz (Military) award on Vice Admiral Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Ghuraibi, Commander of the Royal Saudi Naval Forces, during a special ceremony held at Aiwan-e-Sadr.
The award was presented in recognition of Vice Admiral Al-Ghuraibi’s professional excellence and his prominent role in strengthening the fraternal ties and cooperation between the Pakistan Navy and the Royal Saudi Naval Forces. Senior officers of the Pakistan Armed Forces were also present on the occasion.
Following the ceremony, the Saudi Naval Chief called on President Zardari. The President congratulated Vice Admiral Al-Ghuraibi on receiving the award and lauded his efforts in enhancing naval cooperation between the two brotherly nations. Saudi Ambassador Nawaf Saeed Al-Malki also attended the meeting.
President Zardari reaffirmed Pakistan’s deep appreciation for its strong ties with Saudi Arabia and expressed gratitude for the Kingdom’s support during challenging times. He emphasized Pakistan’s commitment to further strengthening bilateral relations.
The President expressed satisfaction over the ongoing naval collaboration between the two countries and stressed the need to further deepen this cooperation. He also appreciated the participation of the Royal Saudi Navy in the upcoming joint naval exercise “AMAN-25” and the “Aman Dialogue-25,” scheduled for February 2025, terming such engagements vital for enhancing maritime collaboration and mutual understanding.
Commending the vision of Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, President Zardari said the Crown Prince’s leadership is steering the Kingdom towards progress, prosperity, and positive transformation.
The President also appreciated the trust shown by the Royal Saudi Naval Forces in Pakistan Navy’s training system and underlined the importance of expanding training cooperation between the two naval forces.
In conclusion, President Zardari requested Vice Admiral Al-Ghuraibi to convey his heartfelt good wishes and message of goodwill to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz, and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman. He reiterated the deep, brotherly, and historic ties between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.
