Karachi: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif visited the Chinese Embassy in Islamabad, accompanied by Minister for Planning and Development Ahsan Iqbal, Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar, and senior officials from relevant departments. During his meeting with Chinese Ambassador Jiang Zaidong, the Prime Minister expressed heartfelt condolences over the loss of Chinese citizens in a terrorist attack in Karachi and assured that the government is fully mobilized to swiftly identify and apprehend those responsible.
The Prime Minister further stressed that Pakistan-China relations, which have always stood the test of time, will not be allowed to be sabotaged by such cowardly acts. He reiterated that the security arrangements for foreign nationals, particularly Chinese citizens, would be further strengthened to prevent such incidents in the future.
Chinese Ambassador Jiang Zaidong, while thanking the Prime Minister for his swift response and the launch of investigations, expressed confidence in Pakistan’s resolve to ensure the safety of Chinese citizens. He hoped that the perpetrators would be swiftly apprehended and brought to justice, further cementing the enduring friendship between the two nations
