Islamabad: Premier of the State Council of China, Li Qiang, was accorded a red carpet welcome on Monday as he arrived in Pakistan for a four-day bilateral visit. During his stay, Premier Li will hold meetings with Pakistan’s civil and military leadership and participate in the Council of Heads of Government meeting of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO).
Accompanied by a high-level delegation, including ministers and senior officials from the Ministries of Foreign Affairs and Commerce, the National Development and Reform Commission, and the China International Development Cooperation Agency, Premier Li’s visit aims to further strengthen bilateral ties, with a focus on enhancing cooperation in trade, infrastructure, and regional security under the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) framework.
