Islamabad :The Inspector General of Islamabad, Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, has announced that comprehensive security arrangements are in place for the upcoming SCO Summit 2024 in the capital. With meticulous planning, security protocols have been established for key venues, airports, Nur Khan Air Base, and accommodations for all delegations attending the summit.
To minimize disruptions for citizens, the Islamabad Police have also implemented a coordinated traffic plan. Ongoing search and information-based operations are being conducted to ensure a secure environment throughout the summit. Special security measures will be extended to all foreign heads of state, delegations, and guests.
A collaborative effort is underway, involving the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, district administration, Pakistan Army, Rangers, Frontier Corps, and various intelligence agencies. These entities are working in tandem with the Islamabad Police to ensure that all security arrangements are effectively enforced during the summit.
Over 9,000 officers and personnel from the Islamabad Police have been mobilized for this event, with 93% of the force dedicated to security duties. The Inspector General has urged public cooperation to help ensure the success of the SCO Summit 2024 in Islamabad.
