Islamabad: High-level delegations from various countries are set to arrive in Pakistan for the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) Heads of Government meeting, scheduled to take place in Islamabad. Leading the delegations are key representatives from China, Russia, and other member states, reflecting the significance of this event for regional cooperation.
Chinese Premier Li Qiang and Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin will represent their respective nations during the conference. Belarus will be represented by Prime Minister Roman Golovchenko.
Iran’s First Vice President, Mohammad Reza Aref, and Indian Minister of External Affairs of India, Dr. S. Jaishankar is expected to arrive in Islamabad tomorrow to attend the meeting. Other prominent leaders, including Kazakhstan’s Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov and Tajikistan’s Prime Minister Kokhir Rasulzoda, are also due to arrive in the capital.
Kyrgyzstan’s Chairman of the Cabinet, Akylbek Japarov, will represent his country, while Uzbekistan will send Prime Minister Abdulla Aripov as its delegate.
Turkmenistan, attending as a special guest, will be represented by Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet, Rashid Meredov. Additionally, Mongolia’s Prime Minister Oyun-Erdene Luvsannamsrai will arrive in Islamabad as part of the SCO observer state delegation.
This meeting marks a crucial opportunity for SCO member and observer states to discuss and strengthen regional cooperation in various fields, including trade, security, and diplomatic relations.
