Islamabad : The second shipment of humanitarian aid sent by Pakistan to Malaysia arrived in Kuala Lumpur on Tuesday, reflecting Islamabad’s unwavering commitment to supporting its Southeast Asian ally during a time of crisis. The chartered flight, carrying 40 tons of relief items including tents, blankets, quilts, sleeping bags, mats, and life jackets, departed from Islamabad International Airport the previous night under the coordination of the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA). This shipment follows an earlier consignment of equal size, bringing the total relief dispatched to Malaysia’s flood-stricken regions to 80 tons.
Upon arrival in Kuala Lumpur, the humanitarian consignment was received by representatives of the Pakistan Embassy in Malaysia alongside officials from the Malaysian National Disaster Management Agency (NADMA). The aid, intended for the flood-hit areas of Malaysia, symbolizes the strong bilateral ties and shared spirit of solidarity between the two nations. The Malaysian authorities expressed their gratitude for Pakistan’s timely assistance, which has provided much-needed support to those impacted by the devastating floods.
The Government of Pakistan has reaffirmed its commitment to assisting Malaysia in overcoming the challenges posed by the natural disaster.
