Shehbaz Sharif Concludes Six-Day China Visit with Major Diplomatic and Economic Engagements
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif concluded his six-day official visit to China on Thursday, marking a milestone in Pakistan-China relations with wide-ranging engagements on diplomacy, economy, and regional cooperation.
BEIJING: During his visit, the Prime Minister attended the 25th Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Heads of State Summit and the SCO Plus Summit in Tianjin, underscoring Pakistan’s active role in regional diplomacy. He also joined the commemorations of the 80th anniversary of the World War Against Fascism.
In addition to multilateral forums, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif held bilateral meetings with Chinese President Xi Jinping, Premier Li Qiang, and leaders of Russia, Iran, Turkey, Azerbaijan, and Tajikistan, reaffirming Pakistan’s strong diplomatic outreach.
He also participated in the second China-Pakistan Business-to-Business Conference, highlighting investment opportunities and Pakistan’s commitment to expanding economic cooperation with China.
At Beijing Capital International Airport, Han Xerong, Member of the Beijing Municipal Committee of the CPPCC, along with Pakistan’s Ambassador to China Khalil Hashmi and diplomatic staff, bid farewell to the Prime Minister, according to the Prime Minister’s Office.
