The sixth round of Pakistan-Hungary Bilateral Political Consultations took place in Budapest, led by Additional Foreign Secretary (Europe) Ambassador Shafqat Ali Khan for Pakistan and Deputy State Secretary Ambassador Lazlo Varadi for Hungary. During the consultations, both delegations reviewed the full spectrum of their bilateral ties and exchanged views on regional and global developments. They committed to maintaining a positive trajectory in their relations and exploring new avenues for cooperation.
In addition to the consultations, Ambassador Shafqat Ali Khan engaged in separate meetings with key Hungarian officials, including the State Secretary for Security Policy and Energy Security, Petar Szataray, and the Deputy State Secretary for International Cooperation, Atilla Hidegh. These discussions underscored the importance of enhancing collaboration in specific areas of mutual interest such as security policy and energy security.
