Islamabad : US Acting Under Secretary of State for Political Affairs, John Bass, held comprehensive delegation-level talks with Foreign Secretary Amna Baloch in Islamabad today. Discussions covered a wide array of topics, including bilateral cooperation in trade, energy, security, health, climate change, and counter-terrorism.
Foreign Secretary Baloch stressed the significance Pakistan places on its relationship with the United States. She highlighted the need for enhanced cooperation, particularly in economic and defense sectors, aiming for a broader, more meaningful partnership.
Under Secretary Bass expressed the US’s commitment to partnering with Pakistan in stabilizing its economy. He commended Pakistan’s resilience in overcoming challenges like floods and terrorism and later met with Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar.
