Islamabad :US Under Secretary of State John Bass and Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary Elizabeth Horst met Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar in Islamabad on Monday to discuss bilateral relations between Pakistan and the United States. The meeting underscored the importance of maintaining a positive and productive dialogue, with both sides highlighting ongoing collaborative projects. The Foreign Office issued a statement emphasizing the constructive nature of the discussions, aimed at enhancing cooperation between the two nations.

Under Secretary Bass congratulated Pakistan on its recent election to the United Nations Security Council as a non-permanent member for the 2025-2026 term. He expressed the United States’ eagerness to collaborate closely with Pakistan during its tenure, particularly on key international issues that require joint diplomatic efforts at the multilateral level.
