Tashkent: Uzbekistan Airways will expand its direct flights between Tashkent and Lahore starting April 2, 2025. A second weekly flight will be added, operating every Wednesday in addition to the existing Friday service. This increase in frequency reflects growing demand and strengthens the air connection between the two cities.
The flights will continue to land at Lahore’s Allama Iqbal International Airport, named after the iconic philosopher and poet. The new addition brings the total number of flights on the Tashkent-Lahore route to twice a week, offering more convenience for passengers traveling between the two cities.
This development builds on the successful launch of the route on November 29, 2024, and highlights the growing demand for the connection. The addition of a second flight reflects the strong need for more frequent air travel, fostering deeper economic, cultural, and tourism ties between Uzbekistan and Pakistan.
The initiative was made possible through the vision of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, H.E. Shavkat Mirziyoyev, and the dedicated efforts of the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Pakistan in cooperation with the Ministry of Transport of Uzbekistan.
With fully booked cabins speaking to the demand, this air bridge between Tashkent and Lahore is not just a transportation link, but a symbol of the enduring friendship and strategic partnership between the two nations.
Tashkent and Lahore are now closer than ever, and both countries look forward to reaping the benefits of this new connection in the years to come.
